Action, or Progress?

It’s easy to be on the work treadmill and get to the end of the day feeling like you barely moved the needle.

The difference between Action and Progress is that Progress about expanding the space of opportunity, whereas Action can be “merely keeping the plane in motion,” so to speak.

One question I like to ask that helps me focus:

What is the next emotional risk that I need to take today that takes me one step closer to where I’m trying to go?

As you follow through on that, you’ll find that what was uncomfortable yesterday, is now comfortable today.

And so you keep returning again and again to that question.

Growth is about expanding the edges of your capacity, even if it’s just by a little.
